Graduate School of Electrical and Communications Engineering
Faculty Grad School or Graduate School of Electrical and Communications Engineering (Sähkö- ja tietoliikennetekniikan tutkijakoulu) was founded in 1997 by the Faculty predecessor organization Department of Electrical and Communications Engineering. The Graduate School's mission is to advance quality graduate education at the Faculty by providing funding and common framework for all full-time postgraduates studying at the Faculty.
Types of Funding
There are two types of funding available for fulltime postgraduates:
- salaried positions with monthly salary from the Graduate School
- unsalaried positions with an annual incentive bonus from the Graduate School
Salaried positions are made available only once a year when the call for applications (link to the 2009 Call) is announced. Unsalaried positions, however, are available throughout the year and one applies for an unsalaried position by submitting a post-graduate study agreement.
Reporting
A student accepted to the Graduate School (both types of funding) and the supervising professor report annually on the progress of the student's post-graduate studies. Annual reports must be submitted by the 1st of September.
Forms
- Graduate School Annual Report Form 2009, student's part
- Graduate School Annual Report Form 2009, supervisor's part
- Post-graduate study agreement (i.e.for positions w/o salary)
